According to Yonhap News,

Chungju city in North Chungcheong Province signed a KRW 24.5 billion worth of investment deal with Hana Engineering Korea, Inc., LTD, a home appliance maker, producing microwaves or mini-freezers on Jan 12. With its own brand, named Mediheim, they’re running an online shopping mall as well.

The investor is planning to build out its production facilities, establishing a new plant on a 9,900㎡ site (gross area: 3,960㎡) and move its headquarters and factories into the industry cluster located inside east Chungju. Once the facilities start to operate, nearly 130 new jobs are likely to be added.

Hana Engineering Korea, Inc., LTD has become the very first investor Chungju city attracted this year.

City mayor said “I sincerely hope that the investment serves as a growth momentum for Hana Engineering, a business leader in home appliances with its eye-catching designs and tech-capabilities to further scale up and become the city’s flagship company.”
