CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do will invest KRW 1.7 trillion in fostering five new growth engines, including new energy, by 2030.

Eumseong-gun announced a roadmap for each of the five industries on November 23, including new energy, automobile logistics, beauty health, intelligent parts, and climate environment agriculture, to secure future growth engines early on.

An official from Eumseong-gun said, "The total project cost is KRW 5.754 trillion," saying "as KRW 4.394 trillion has been invested under the 7th popularly elected government, we will secure additional KRW 1.715 trillion without fail."

"Although the internal and external economic environment, which has deteriorated since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, has posed a challenge to Eumseong-gun, we will prepare for the future in step with the era of diversification and great transformation."

Eumseong-gun plans to foster new energy industries such as hydrogen and secondary batteries as key projects in riding out the era of climate change and energy transition.

Regarding the automobile logistics industry, it laid out a strategy to create a mecca of future automobile industry and a center of Korea's distribution and logistics.

To foster the beauty and health industry, it is set to quickly establish a specialized industrial complex and attract related companies to lay the foundation for research and technology development. It is also set to integrate the intelligent parts industry by fostering the system semiconductor industry and establishing theme-type smart city.

Besides, Eumseong-gun plans to promote eco-friendly and smart agriculture to respond to climate change and develop brand for high-end agricultural products.
