Cheongju university held an announcement Ceremony on 'The Vision of Glocal Universuty 30' on May 23.
In the ceremony, Cheongju university affirmed its goal to be selected as one of the 30 glocal universities by the Ministry of Education. It emphasized that to this end what's important is its role as a hub that bridges cooperation between industries and academia to promote innovation in the region.
It also announced plans to evolve into a specialized university that breaks its internal boundaries and nurtures innovative talent to meet demands of local specialized and advanced industries.
'Glocal University 30' is a project of the Ministry of Education where it selects 30 'glocal universities' in non-metropolitan areas to invest KRW 100 billion for 5 years.
