On June 1, Chungbuk-do announced that it sent a working-level delegation to Shandong Province, China for export and tourism sales activities.

The delegation, led by the Director of the Economic and Trade Department, participated in The Shandong International Friendship Cities Conference for Cooperation and Development held in Jinan, Shandong Province on May 27. During the event, they discussed various cooperation measures in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, and culture with the Shandong provincial government, a sister city.

At the event, which was attended by over 880 participants from 50 countries, the delegation also conducted promotional activities by delivering invitations to the "Yeongdong World Traditional Music & Arts Expo " and the "Jecheon Korean Medicine and Natural Product Industry EXPO," both scheduled for September.

On May 27-29, the delegation accompanied by 10 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Chungbuk, held an export consultation meeting in Qingdao where a total of 82 contracts worth USD 11.66 million (approximately KRW 16 billion) were signed during the meeting.

The companies participating in the export consultation were Nature's Best Food, Dejuvent, Moisten, B&cos, HP&C, WellBio, GD&Y, KPT, CoSeed Biopharm, and HahaFood.

In Qingdao, the delegation introduced the direct flight route from [LOCATION] to Qingdao to local outbound travel agencies and requested their cooperation in attracting passengers on May 28. They also visited a local university to explain the K-International Student Support Program.
