On June 30, Jecheon-si, Chungbuk-do, signed an investment agreement (MOU) with JNC Materials, an electric vehicle (EV) parts and materials manufacturer, on establishment of a new factory.

The company plans to invest KRW 100 billion to establish a factory on a 63,766㎡ site in the Jecheon 3rd Industrial Complex, producing and recycling electric vehicle batteries. The company also intends to hire 36 employees.

The company's CEO explained, "The decision to make an investment to build a new factory was made after considering Jecheon’s convenient transportation network and active administrative support."

Jecheon's Mayor said, "I hope that the company will become a leader in secondary batteries through a synergy effect from making investment in Jecheon, a hub for the automotive parts industry."
