According to Yonhap News,

On August 8, Cheongju-si announced that it has completed the redevelopment of infrastructure in the Cheongju General Industrial Complex with a total project cost of KRW 32.9 billion.

The Cheongju Industrial Complex, developed in the 1980s, is the city's first-generation industrial complex. Over time, the need for redevelopment has been consistently raised.

The city began facility maintenance in 2020, expanding the four-lane road to six lanes and adding 1,150 new parking spaces.

To address the parking issues in the Cheongju Industrial Complex, the city plans to build a parking tower on land donated to the city, with completion expected by next year.

A city official stated, "In the future, we will work to improve the working environment in industrial complexes such as the Ochang Science Industrial Complex and the Osong Bio-Sience Complex."
