Chungju-si signed a sister-city exchange agreement with Xinyu, Jiangxi Province
On November 5, Chungju-si, Chungbuk-do announced that it has signed a sister-city exchange agreement with Xinyu City in Jiangxi Province, China.
Under the agreement, the two cities will strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy and administration, and will also focus on tourism, culture, and youth exchanges.
Xinyu City, which signed a letter of intent for sister-city relations with Chungju in 2013, is an industrial city in central Jiangxi Province, with developed steel, new materials, and energy industries. In June, a delegation from Xinyu visited Chungju to discuss cooperation strategies.
Chungju Mayor, who led the Chungju delegation to Xinyu, said, "The signing of this agreement will elevate Chungju City's international stature and serve as a turning point to expand development opportunities through mutual exchanges."
Earlier, on November 3rd, the delegation visited the '2025 Export-Import Goods Trade Fair' in Guangzhou, China, and encouraged six local companies participating in the event with the support of Chungju City.
