Chungbuk's support for overseas marketing last year yielded results.
On November 13, Chungbuk-do announced that the analysis of the performance of its overseas marketing support program last year revealed a significant increase in both export efficiency and success rates.
A survey of 442 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that participated in the overseas marketing support program last year (with a response rate of 93.2%) showed that export efficiency, a key indicator measuring export value against project costs, rose from 7.8 times in the previous year to 11.9 times.
Chungbuk-do invested KRW 2.39 billion in the overseas marketing support program last year, and SMEs achieved a total export value of KRW 28.5 billion.
This means that for every KRW 100 million of budget, about KRW 1.2 billion in exports were generated.
The export success rate, which is the proportion of companies that achieved exports among those who participated in the program, was found to be 33.3%, meaning that 3 out of 10 companies achieved exports.
This is an increase of 10.2 percentage points compared to the previous year (23.1%).
The province attributed the increase in success rate to effective efforts such as identifying genuine buyers, post-sales management, discovering promising overseas trade exhibitions, conducting strategic trade missions based on market analysis, and implementing customized marketing strategies.
Meanwhile, Chungbuk-do has allocated KRW 2.98 billion to support 26 overseas marketing initiatives for SMEs this year, with performance analysis to be conducted next year.
