Chungbuk's exports reached USD 3.2bn led by semiconductors
On November 17, Cheongju Customs announced that the export value for the Chungcheongbuk-do region reached USD 3.2 billion last month, marking a 45.6% increase compared to the same month last year.
By product category, the export growth in electrical and electronic products was notable, with semiconductors, a key item, increasing by 83.1% compared to the same period last year.
By country/region, exports were highest to Southeast Asia (USD 2.2 billion), followed by China (USD 420 million) and the United States (226 million dollars).
Imports totaled USD 632 million, a 0.4% increase compared to the same month last year.
