Chungbuk-do and Daejeon-si signed MOU to build next-generation secondary battery material platform

According to Yonhap News,



On December 11, Daejeon-si signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chungbuk-do, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, and the Korea Basic Science Institute at Chungbuk National University to establish a next-generation secondary battery material platform.

Over the next three years, they will share research and development resources, advanced analytical equipment, and specialized personnel. They plan to foster a super-regional secondary battery innovation ecosystem through activities such as workforce training for current employees and expanding industry-academia-research collaboration networks.

The key components of the agreement include: Training personnel and offering education for the secondary battery industry workforce; Establishing a system for joint use of research infrastructure, equipment, and facilities; Strengthening regional industrial innovation and business support; and Strengthening collaboration on joint projects, networks, and policy cooperation
