(Cheongju=Yonhap News) On the 28th, Chungcheongbuk-do Province held the "2026 Integrated Briefing Session on Trade and Commerce Promotion Policies" at the Chungbuk Business Agency to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and middle-market enterprises in the province with their entry into overseas markets.
The briefing session, which shared the province's policy direction for this year and support projects by each export-related organization, was joined by eight specialized trade organizations, including the Chungbuk Regional Office of Small and Medium Business Administration, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Chungbuk Support Headquarters, and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Chungbuk Regional Headquarters.
In particular, KOTRA received significant attention by delivering lectures on the outlook for the Southeast Asian consumer goods market, which is of high interest to export companies in the province, and export strategies for responding to exchange rates.
Lee Bok-won, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Chungcheongbuk-do, stated, "Even amid difficult external conditions, the reliable pillar of the Chungbuk economy is exports," adding, "We will become a dependable supporter through trade policies that companies can truly feel."
