North Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk) will start marketing its medical tourism industry at Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, in an attempt to attract more medical tourists from the resource-rich country.

Chungbuk will organize seminars to promote medical facilities and services for 100 people from medical and tourism sectors of Uzbekistan.

Doctors from six medical institutions in Chungbuk, including Cheongju Medical Center, Chamjoeun Dental Hospital and Individual System Dental Clinic, will participate in the seminars.

They will promote their specialized sectors of the comprehensive check-up, artificial joint surgery, tooth whitening, prostate disease treatment and cosmetic surgery and provide medical services of diagnosing cancers and diabetes and measuring blood pressure for free.

The seminar is organized upon the request of Uzbek travel agencies that participated in our familiarization tour last December. We expect the seminars to contribute to the promotion of our medical tourism," said a Chungbuk official.
