Osong in north Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk) signed an agreement with the Korea Food & Drug Administration (KFDA) to co-organize the 2013 Cosmetics & Beauty Expo.
Under the agreement, the KFDA will support to attract domestic and overseas businesses in the cosmetics and bio sector and promote the exhibition.
Cooperation with the KFDA is expected to increase the credibility of the exhibition, a Chungbuk official said.
"The KFDA decided to co-organize the exhibition based on the conclusion that the exhibition would have positive impact on the cosmetics industry. The agreement will facilitate the participation of companies."
The 2013 Cosmetics & Beauty Expo will be held from May 3-26 under the theme of "New Change of Beauty." The Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and Korea International Trade Association participated in the exhibition as supporters.
