According to Yonhap News,

Oriental medicine products that are manufactured in Jecheon, well-known for its excellence in oriental medicine, are gaining popularity at home and abroad.

BBCNF Cosmetics (BBCNF), a manufacturer of functional oriental medicine cosmetics called CLANCHE, signed a 1.1 billion won-export contract with China's LONHO.

CLANCHE, co-developed by BBCNF and Jayeonin, is made of oriental medicine and satisfies the requirements for Good Agricultural Practice.

The product is proved to be effective in regenerating damaged cells and moisturizing skin.

BBCNF will expand its presence in other countries including Malaysia and Thailand.

The cosmetics manufacturer inked a 400 million won-export contract with Japanese companies at Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo in Osaka, Japan in last month with the local government's supports.

In October, Jecheon City dispatched an investment promotion group led by Vice Mayor Lee Jin-gyu to the Los Angeles (LA) Korean Festival to sell oriental herbs and oriental medicine products worth 40 million won.

In addition, the city concluded a cooperation agreement on the supply of high-quality medical herbs with the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and also agreed to hold an export seminar at the 2013 LA Korean Festival in collaboration with the LA Korea Business Center of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.

The city's aggressive efforts to expand sales routes led to the dramatic rise in exports of oriental medicine products from 1.08 billion won in 2011 to 3.1 billion won this year.
