CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

North Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk) has surpassed the USD 10 billion mark in its exports for three consecutive years, encouraged by the strong exports in its major industries including semiconductor and chemistry.

Chungbuk has thus far recorded USD 10.966 billion this year in exports and USD 631 million in imports, according to the Chungju Customs.

By item, semiconductor, chemical products and machinery have risen 38.2 percent, 27.9 percent and 12.5 percent, respectively, in exports, while exports of electricity and electronics and precision machinery have stumbled a little bit.

 The province has posted the trade surplus of USD 494 million.
