Yangsung Nonghyup, Chungju announced Wednesday that it will export 48 tons of sweet pumpkins to Kobe, Japan.

It also exported 21 tons of sweet pumpkins to Japan last year. Yangsung Nonghyup explained that exports doubled this year, backed by positive feedback from Japanese consumers.

About 100 farmers in Yangsung produce 1,000 tons of sweet pumpkins a year from 420 ha farms, and they are sold to the Garak market and Hanaro Mart.
