Jechon to Improve Agricultural Infrastructure

According to Yonhap News,

(JECHEON = Yonhap News) The city of Jecheon announced on April 12 that it will improve its agricultural infrastructure before the farming season begins.

The city is set to improve 37 reservoirs and 47 agricultural infrastructures for its farmers.

The city conducted inspections on 37 deteriorated reservoirs in February to ensure a smooth supply of water to farms.

The city will invest a total of KRW 2.165 billion to improve 47 infrastructures including the dams near the reservoirs, irrigation canals and tube wells that require improvements by next month.

“The city will provide customized administrative services to lay a foundation to help local farmers focus only on farming,” said a city official.
