Chungju High-Tech Industrial Complex Attracts 57 Companies

(CHUNGJU=Yon Hap News) The City of Chungju announced on July 16 that the whole industrial land of the Chungju high-tech industrial complex has been parceled out to companies.

The industrial complex (1,992,339 ㎡), endorsed by North Chungcheong Province in February, 2003, began building in March, 2006.

The industrial land (988,534 ㎡) was parceled out to 57 companies.

The tenants are in the industries of electric and electronics, IT, precision machinery parts and new process, which drive the new growth engine of the central region. Representative companies include Yuhan Kimberly, KOYJ Co., Ltd., Seoul Metal Co. Ltd., Metso Valstone Inc. and Pharmbio Korea Co. Ltd.

The high-tech industrial complex and Chungju Enterprise City play different roles to bring synergy to the City and the complex is connected to Chungju Megapolis that is under construction to build a new growth engine for the City.

The high-tech industrial complex with KRW 218.9 billion of government expenditure has land for industrial purposes (988,534 ㎡), public facilities (459,000 ㎡), parks (268,000 ㎡), residential areas (235,000 ㎡) and commercial areas (42,000 ㎡).
