(GOESAN=NEWSIS) Prominent experts in the organic industry attended an international symposium on organic industrial development on July 23 in Goesan, North Chungcheong Province.

The symposium was hosted by the organizing committee for the 2015 Goesan International Organic industry fair and the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR) at Jungwon University for experts and scholars in the organic industry to discuss and exchange ideas on the organic industry.

The symposium provided opportunities for experts and scholars to talk about the management of organic matters for the nourishment of organic produce, policies to revitalize the organic industry and other issues concerning the organic industry.

“I hope the symposium will be helpful for the 2015 Goesan International Organic industry fair to find the right way,” said Governor Lee Si-jong of North Chungcheong Province.

The 2015 Goesan International Organic industry fair that will be held for 24 days from Sept. 18, 2015 to Oct. 11, 2015 will comprise ten exhibition galleries, seven outdoor exhibition galleries, a special exhibition gallery, symposium, an international expo on organic trade, and hands-on activities.

Goesan plans to attract 660,000 tourists at home and abroad and 250 companies and institutions that will bring an economic effect of more than KRW 180 billion.
