(CHEONGJU=NEWSIS) A Shanghai Office of North Chungcheong Province will soon be launched, which will help the province to enter the Chinese market.

According to North Chungcheong Province, the Shanghai Standing Committee of the National People`s Congress sent a license to the province to permit the establishment of a corporation.

The province plans to open the Shanghai office next January.

The Shanghai office will become the first overseas office of North Chungcheong Province.

"The major work of the Shanghai office will be to provide trade and investment information, conduct market research and offer liaison services for bilateral economy," said a province official.
