(JINCHEON/EUMSEONG=NEWSIS) The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MLIT) announced the completion of the first stage of the Chungbuk Innovation City under the Special Act on the Construction and Support of Innovation Cities Following Relocation of Public Institutions.

The Korea Land and Housing corporation (LH) has invested KRW 996.9 billion in the construction of the first stage of the innovation city (5.44 million ㎡), which includes residential and commercial land and an innovation cluster.

The first stage of the innovation city has been completed in eight years and ten months.

The LH will complete the second stage of the construction, which includes the reservation area and the rest of the industrial land, by late 2015. Also, 11 public agencies will move to the innovation city by the end of 2016.
