(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) W-Scope Korea, a Japanese company in the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex in Cheongju, will invest USD 50 million to expand its plant.

North Chungcheong Province announced June 18 that it will sign an investment agreement with W-Scope Korea on June 19 at the provincial government building.

W-Scope Korea will expand its plant on 35,172㎡ of land.

W-Scope Korea, a secondary battery manufacturer, received an award from the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2012 for its working environment.

The province expects the expansion of the plant will create 250 new jobs.
