Pyeongchang Winter Olimpics Organizing Committee Holds HOD Seminar

The 2013 Pyeongchang Special Winter Olympics Organizing Committee holds the Head Of Delegation (HOD) seminar at Pyeongchang Alpensia Resort from today with the members of Special Olympics International (SOI) and 100 athletes from 41 national teams to share information on the management of each sport game and competition facilities for successfully completing the global event.

 

The HOD seminar is designed to provide detailed information on accommodations, cultural events, marketing, promotion, opening and closing ceremony and Olympic torch to athletes.

 

The three-day seminar is classified into four sessions with the simultaneous interpretation service of five languages. The first session is about providing information on entrance and exit, accommodation, safety and medical service and the second is about cultural programs including Olympic torch and opening and closing ceremony. The organizing committee will hold a reception for athletes and members of SOI.

 

The committee will make a presentation about its promotion and marketing strategy during the third session to be scheduled tomorrow and representatives of each nation will visit the Alpensia resort to watch competition facilities during the fourth session. They will also visit the Alpine ski and snowboarding resort in the last day of the seminar.

 

The representatives will give details on the facilities and management of the Olympic game to athletes and cooperate with Pyeongchang committee for the successful organization of the event.
