The East Sea Rim Branch Office of Gangwon Province plans to operate a booth at the 2012 Yeosu World Expo, in a move to promote Gangwon's tourist attractions and strengths to tourists from home and abroad.

The 72 square meter-Gangwon booth will be operated under the theme of Happy Gangwon.

A traditional cultural performance will be held on July 11 to celebrate the Cultural Day of Gangwon.

Gangwon will promote its various strengths and achievements including tourist attraction, history, culture, unification and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

"We are planning to display Gangwon's unique products including deep ocean water, salted fermented fish and Pyeongchang chocolate," said the Director of the East Sea Rim Branch Office of Gangwon Province Lee Dong-cheol.

Gangwon will promote its fishery products via not only Yeosu Expo but Seoul, Busan, Daegu and Gwangju expos.
