Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province will hold a completion ceremony for Yangyang Cycle Stadium built in Sonyang-myeon.

The 3,993 square meter-stadium is equipped with 333.33 meter-velodrome track, 1,350 seats and supplementary facilities.

"The establishment of cycle stadium in Yangyang will enhance the status of Yangyang all around the world, which is expected to facilitate the regional economy through sports and marketing," said a Yangyang official.

Yangyang will hold the first nationwide cycle race for a week to mark the completion of the stadium.

About 500 cyclists from 100 teams will participate in the race.
