The 2012 Gangwon IP Festival is scheduled to be held at Chiak Stadium in Wonju City, Gangwon Province from Thursday to Saturday.
The festival, organized by Gangwon, Wonju and Korea Invention Promotion Association of Korean Intellectual Property Office, is designed to support local inventors and lay groundwork for intellectual property management.
Various events, including seminars on patent technology transfer, consulting services to be offered by experts, awarding ceremony for creative ideas and designs and marketing activities, will be held.
A quiz show for teenagers will also be held to give them an opportunity to know the importance of intellectual property and invention.
"We hope the festival would elevate Wonju's status as an intellectual property city with many citizens attending," said a Wonju official.
