The 10th Chuncheon Global Water Forum (CGWF) was held at Chuncheon Bearstown Tourist Hotel on September 6 with 300 water experts from home and abroad attending.
The forum was classified into 10 sessions under the theme of "Water and City."
Gagnwon's Vice Governor of Economy Kim Sang-pyo highlighted the necessity of conducting research on water-related issues and policy in the welcoming speech.
Chuncheon Water Declaration calling for establishing a standing committee to address the water issue was adopted on the last day of the forum.
A symposium and thesis contest will also be held on the sideline of the forum.
Chuncheon has organized the CGWF annually to respond to the growing demand of water and water pollution caused by rapid urbanization since 2003.
