According to Yonhap News,

Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province decided to expand its budgets threefold to 800 million won for increasing exports of agricultural products in next year.

About 400 million won will be allocated for boosting exports of cherry tomatoes emerging as the province's strategic product. Exports of cherry tomatoes have grown almost three times to 1 billion won this year from the previous year's 300 million won.

In addition, Chuncheon will invest 200 million won and 150 million won in establishing a floricultural complex that specializes in lilies, Chuncheon's largest export product and supporting cultivation of lilies, respectively.

Chuncheon started to export lilies to Japan in 2004 and its exports of lilies are expected to increase more than 60 percent to 1.7 billion won from 1.1 billion won a year earlier.

"We will expand our export markets for lilies and cherry tomatoes from Japan to the Southeast Asia," said a chief of an agriculture center.
