According to Yonhap News,
Jeongseon-gun (County), Gangwon-do (Province) sets aside 3.54 billion won this year for stabilizing the regional livestock industry and strengthening its competitiveness.
The budget will be invested in building production facilities and supporting production equipment for livestock farmers suffering from the triple whammy - skyrocketing feed prices, weakening consumer sentiment and declining cattle prices.
The county will also work hard to ensure the stable management of the livestock farmers by building cattle sheds, installing automatic feeders and supplying fermentation accelerators to recycle livestock manures.
"We will do everything we can to enhance the competitiveness of the regional livestock industry amid the external and internal uncertainties, triggered by the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement and soaring crop prices," said a Jeongseon-gun official.
