The GTI International Trade & Investment EXPO 2013 will be held in Gangneung, Gangwon Province from June 9 to June 12 for the first time in Northeast Asia under the theme of cooperation, development and shared growth in the new era of Northeast Asia.
With the Gangneung Dano Festival and the Expo at the same time, Gangneung city is under the pressure to hold both events successfully.
About 67 companies from Gangneung will participate to promote and sell their products.
The city will support facilities such as public squares, parking lots and a gym and will be in charge of managing traffic and volunteers.

The Expo will have two indoor exhibition halls and four outdoor halls. The first exhibition hall displays strategic industries of Gangwon Province with 73 booths in the field of health, biotechnology, electronics, ceramics, and cosmetics.
The second hall will exhibit tourism products of 35 booths where visitors can see jade and lacquer craft and more.
The third hall of GTI global products will have 59 foreign companies.
In the hall of Korean small- and medium-sized companies, visitors can meet 130 booths including Small & Medium Business Centers Association of Korea and Convergence Federation of Small & Medium Business.
About 50 booths of Gangwon online products will welcome visitors in the fifth hall.
The sixth hall of 118 booths includes clean food, women entrepreneurs, and tourism promotion.
A bilateral talks and a reception dinner will be held on June 8. An opening ceremony, GTO regional cooperation forum, trade consulting and investment promotion information sessions are planned for 9th.
On 10th, GTI tourism board meeting, trade consultations and investment promotion sessions will be held. Far East and Siberia Subcommittee meeting, consultations and investment information sessions will be on 11th, followed by consulting and information sessions and awards ceremony on 12th.
