Yeongwol Promotes its Tourist Attractions in China

Yeongwol country announced last Friday that an association consisting of six cities and counties in Gangwon Province, North Chungcheong Province and North Gyeongsang Province will hold promotion activities including tourism information sessions by participating in the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2013.

Yeongwol will promote the county at the expo to Chinese tourism-related companies, media and travel agencies to attract Chinese tourists.

The association, consisting of Yeongwol and Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province, Jecheon and Danyang of North Chungcheong Province and Yeongju and Bonghwa in North Gyeongsang Province, participates in the BITE 2013 from June 20 to June 27.

Two booths will be installed at the expo to promote tourism in the inner and mid-region of Korea and distribute about 5,000 leaflets and booklets on attractions of each counties and cities.

The association will hold information booths at the expo for three days from June 21 and also information sessions from today to Wednesday for about 200 media and travel agencies in Beijing and Shensi Province.

At the information sessions, representatives aim to attract Chinese tourists by promoting outstanding tourism attractions in inner and mid-region of Korea through promotional videos, presentations and consultation sessions with travel agency marketing managers.
