Taebaek city and the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Finland signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday.
Mayor Kim Yeon-shik, Rovaniemi mayor Esko Lotvonen and other representatives attended the signing ceremony.
With the MOU, Taebaek and Rovaniemi will cooperate to successfully establish a Santa Claus Village in Taebaek.
The Santa Claus Village development project, in which a 96.6 billion will be invested on a 441,082 m2 site, will have a Santa Claus’ post office, an animal farm, pensions, hotels, recreational facilities and more by 2020.
