Gangwon Province held a workshop to discuss measures for future development in 2014.

About 50 experts and Gangwon officials participated in the workshop to exchange their views on global development.

The workshop discussed performance of the province’s global projects and next year’s plans to meet the demands of the global era.

First, the attendees talked about the direction the province should pursue with experts in the field of commerce, exports and foreign direct investment. Team heads from the provincial government presented their projects and plans for next year, and received comments and advices for improvement.

In addition, various ideas were suggested to generate economic profit. Some of the examples include facilitation of economic exchanges with local governments, fostering global companies and developing foreign investment promotion projects.

A Gangwon official noted that the workshop will help to enhance the province’s competitiveness based on global cooperation in terms of exports and foreign direct investment, adding that advices will be applied to the next year’s plans.
