According to Yonhap News,

(YANGYANG=Yon Hap News) Yangyang County in Gangwon Province actively engages in the inducement of private investment for resort complex development and other tourism infrastructures, expecting local economy to be revitalized.

According to Yangyang County, a series of projects are well underway.

Now the draft of the impact statement on the environment was completed. Yangyang International Airport recreation leisure tourist destinations are also under construction with the goal of completion of 2016.

The center would attract tourists with water parks and golf courses, outlet malls and accommodations, costing a total of KRW 28.4 billion.

The county also plans to develop a marine leisure center in Osan district with a budget of KRW 105 billion. Sonchun-li, Osack-li and Nonwha-li are also on the development agenda. Yangyang County will invest KRW 14 billion in the three areas to develop 'Eco Tour Experience Recreation Area' that is scheduled to be located Jinso Valley.
