(HOENGSEONG=NEWSIS) Gangwon Province announced March 12 that it will sign memorandums of understanding with Dome House Korea, Life Packaging Co., Ltd. and KC Co., Ltd., which will move to the Gonggeun Agricultural Complex in Hoengseong, to promote mutual cooperation between the province and three companies.
The three companies will invest a total of KRW 11.5 billion in Hoengseong to build a production line in the first half of the year and hire 36 new workers.
Dome House Korea, established in 2011, manufactures high-density EPS panels. It will invest KRW 6 billion in the land purchase and equipment investment. It plans to hire 12 new workers when it moves to the second agricultural complex in Ucheon.
Life Packaging Co., Ltd. plans to supply their corrugated fiberboards to large-scale companies and regional companies. It will invest KRW 4 billion in the land purchase and construction of a plant building and production facility in the Gonggeun Agricultural Complex in the first half of the year and hire 12 new workers.
KC Co., Ltd., a churros producer, will invest KRW 1.6 billion in the land purchase and construction of a plat building and production facility in the second agricultural complex in Ucheon in the first half of the year and hire 12 new workers.
"We hope the investment agreements will bring a synergy effect in revitalizing the regional economy, creating new jobs and attracting companies. We will spare no effort in providing administrative and financial support for the settlement of the companies," said a provincial official.
