(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) The 2015 Chuncheon Global Water Forum opened on September 17 at the KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Art Center, Gangwon Province with around 200 water experts at home and abroad.

Under the theme, water and civilization, the forum will be held for two days with 30 presentations (11 sessions).

The forum will also include a roundtable on the direction of the local water movement and hands-on water education programs.

The Chuncheon Water Declaration will be adopted on the last day of the forum.

The Chuncheon Global Water Forum is an annual forum that began in 2003 to respond to the issues including securing water, water pollution and sanitation due to the surge in water demand following the rapid urbanization.
