(CHUNCHEON=NEWSIS) Gangwon Province announced October 18 that it will sign an investment agreement with Gangwon Technopark and 15 small- and medium-sized venture capitals.

The province and Gangwon Technopark will support regional small- and medium-sized venture capitals and relocated companies with great growth potential but suffer from financial difficulties.

The province, Gangwon Technopark and Sejong Venture Partners, the operator of the Gangwon investment cooperative, will invest more than 60% of the total amount to the regional companies and relocated companies.

The province will focus on the small- and medium-sized companies in the sectors including wellness products, new ceramic materials, sports knowledge services, medical equipment and MICARE (MICE + healthcare).
