The city of Taebaek in Gangwon Province and Korea Rural Community Corporation Gangneung Office signed an MOU on May 26 over an investment in the formation of Cheoram Goteosil industry complex, a mineral resource cluster, located across 215,000㎡ site by the end of 2024. The cost for the construction project is reported to total KRW 29.4 billion.

Under the contract agreed upon, Taebaek city will take the role of administrator, securing budgets and authorization, whereas Korea Rural Community Corporation will be in charge of organization, orchestrating layout, construction and inspection.

In celebration of the MOU signing ceremony, the city mayor said “It’s a great stride forward. The partnership we’ve built today is believed to lay strong foundations for the future development of the city and the community economy.”
