GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do is to push for building a company city centered around the precision medicine around Gwangpan-ri, Namsan-myeon.

Chuncheon-si signed a basic agreement with DOUZONE, a local company, to create regional specialized company city.

The main content is to create a multifunctional city with enhanced education, exhibition, culture, leisure, and residential functions by investing KRW 500 billion on the site of 3.2 million square meters in and around the area set for Zone 2, Namchuncheon Industrial Complex.

With this project, Chuncheon-si aims to attract about 160 companies and create 4,700 jobs by 2028.

In the meantime, Chuncheon-si is pushing for Namchuncheon Industrial Complex, divided into Zone 1 and Zone 1 around Gwangpan-ri.

Zone 1 is to be created as the advanced bio industrial complex for bio production and R&D companies, set to complete construction in April next year.

Zone 2 is to be established as a company city including the precision medicine after discussing financing methods with DOUZONE who expressed intention to participate in the project.

By signing this agreement, Chuncheon-si expects to be reborn as a mecca of the precision medicine industry by combining online big data of the precision medicine possessed by Douzone, and offline platform related to a company city.
