A winter festival organizing committee in Gangneung unveiled on Nov. 21 that the “2022 Gangneung Christmas Winter Festival” will be held from Nov. 27, 2022, to Jan. 8, 2023, in Gangneung Wolhwa Street, Anmok Beach and Yeongok-myeon area.

Meanwhile, under the theme of ‘Happy Gangneung, Christmas in Gangneung,’ the festival is to feature Gangneung’s image as a city delivering happiness as well as an attractive place for winter.

The organizers plan to make Gangneung a city known as a winter tourist destination through Christmas festivals with people and tourists.

The festival will open at five in the afternoon, on Nov. 27, with the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree at Wolhwa Street in the city.
