Gangwon State University announced on May 16 it visited Vietnam to sing MOUs with Hanoi University of Industry and East Asia University of Technology.

They put their heads together to come up with measures to address shrinking student population after sharing ideas of nurturing human resources in industries and developing student exchange programs.

Each institution that singed the MOU agreed to commit to intensifying their education network by developing cultural exchange programs, hands-on experience projects, utilizing education infrastructures.

Gangwon State University, for its part, will support foreign students in the university to start a reliable career and settle down in Korea.

President of Gangwon State University Kim Kwang Rae said, "As the one and only national university in Gangwon province, we will build an exemplary international-exchange infrastructure to draw foreign talent to this region."
