According to Yonhap News,

Korea woman center (KW center) launches a new project to upcycle used banners.

According to the KW center on June 6, it designed this marketing plan as a sustainable ESG project this year.

The KW center, a training center that has over 20,000 annual visitors, decided to upcycle abandoned banners that are thrown away in great quantities every year to make souvenirs that embody the identity of the center.

The center said that it will make a preemptive contribution to encouraging local communities to pursue sustainable lifestyles and recycling of resources.

This project will be co-implemented with 'Queenbee store', a Wonju-based social enterprise that works on building a virtual cycle of resources.

President Director Ko Chang-young said, "The KW center, as a province-backed institute in Gangwon, is well aware of the importance of ESG management." and "We will remain devoted to making the center a sustainable space through numerous projects and collaboration with the local community."
