Gangwon make all-out efforts to attract MICE groups from abroad
Gangwon State and the Gangwon Tourism Organization (GWTO) announced on October 18 that they held a "Gangwon Global MICE (Corporate Conference, Prize Tourism, Convention, Exhibition) Fam Tour" for multinational companies on October 14-17.
About 30 officials from multinational companies, including AIA, Allianz and Tupperware from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, participated in this tour.
They toured convention centers, hotels, and resorts in Chuncheon, Gangneung, and Pyeongchang, and visited the Winter Olympics Stadium and Nami Island to experience curling, bibimbap cooking, and hanbok wearing.
Yauhari, who is in charge of planning a prize tour program at an Indonesian multinational insurance company, said, "I found a new aspect of Gangwon during this fam tour," adding, "I will strongly recommend Gangwon-state, which seems to be an attractive region for prize tour, to the company to add it to the large-scale incentive tour program in April next year."
President Kang Ok-hee of the GWTO said, "starting with this fam tour, we will actively promote Gangwon's unique appeal to attract prize tour groups from abroad."
