KeumKang CNT, a company belongs to Gangwon's liquified hydrogen regulation-free special zone completed construction of its Gangwon office building in the Donghae Bukpyeong Industrial Complex and held a completion ceremony on February 7.

Founded in September 2003, KeumKang CNT is a company specializing in environmental facilities and hydrogen. It is a middle market enterprise with annual sales of KRW 11 billion, headquartered in Seoul and has factories and technology research centers in Gwangju, Siheung, and Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province.

Its office building building, completed in Bukpyeong Industrial Complex's long-term rental site, has a total area of 608㎡ with 3 floors, will conduct research and development on hydrogen purifiers and catalysts.

By completing a factory building of 1천576㎡ in the first half of this year, the company plans to launch development of such technologies as hydrogen seperator for hydrogen purification, hydrogen storage media, hydrogen production system, among others.

With the completion of KeumKang CNT, the city expects synergy effect, connecting large-scale infrastructure, centered on Bukpyeong Industrial Complex, promoted through a project to create a cluster of hydrogen storage and transportation, a project to build water electrolysis-based hydrogen production center, and hydrogen materials, parts, and equipment industries.

Gangwon State and Donghae City plan to continue to attract companies and support relocated companies to settle down successfully in the region.
