Gangwon State local government, universities, institutions joined hands to foster the bio industry

The State government, Chuncheon-si, Hongcheon-gun, Hallym University, Yonsei University Future Campus, Korea Polytechnic III University, Gangwon State Economic Promotion Agency, Gangwon Techno Park, and Chuncheon Bio Industry Promotion Agency signed an MOU on 'fostering talent and R&D foundation to attract specialized complex in bio national high-tech strategic industry in Gangwon Sate' on February 20.
The parties to the MOU agreed to support fostering of the bio industry, pushing for bio specialized universities and opening a departments related to high-tech bio, joint development of education programs and research and development.
President of Kangwon National University said, "under the MOU, 10 organizations will cooperate to create a global innovation hub of the bio industry," adding that "we will keep making efforts to help Gangwon State make a leap forward by attracting bio companies, supporting a business foundation, and technological innovation."
