A company developing key materials for electric vehicles will settle in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon State, which aims to become the hub of the e-mobility industry.

Gangwon-State and Hoengseong-gun held an MOU signing ceremony with Solivis, a secondary battery material development company on March 20.

Solivis plans to invest KRW 15.2 billion on a site of 7,444㎡ in Ucheon Industrial Complex in Hoengseong-gun to build a plant and hire 60 new workers.

The company aims to achieve KRW 120 billion in sales in fiver years and become a leader in the all-solid-state battery market.

Solivis, a new research company established in 2020, is developing and producing solid electrolyte materials, which are key to all-solid-state batteries.

Solid electrolyte materials developed by Solivis are used in electric vehicle batteries, and are known for reduced risk of fire and explosion and enhanced efficiency by securing more than twice the mileage compare to the previous secondary batteries.
