Gangwon participated in 2025 K-Tourism Roadshow (B2B) in Guangzhou
Gangwon State and the Gangwon Tourism Organization (GWTO) participated in the '2025 K-Tourism Roadshow (B2B) in Guangzhou' held at Guangzhou on March 6 to promote tourism.
The roadshow, organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, focuses on B2B (business-to-business) consultations and networking to expand the attraction of overseas tourists.
To effectively promote Gangwon’s diverse tourist resources, the region will also participate in a local tourism briefing session.
China is one of the key overseas markets, being the top source of inbound tourists to Korea and second in the number of visitors to Gangwon.
Additionally, it is conveniently located near Hong Kong, which ranks fourth in the number of visitors to Gangwon, making it an optimal location for marketing efforts targeting Chinese-speaking tourists, such as those from Macao.
The foundation plans to discuss collaboration strategies for developing and selling Gangwon-specific tourism products with key figures from the travel industry during the event, in partnership with ski resorts in the region.
On March 7, the Gangwon Tourism Briefing will be held to promote tourist content preferred by Chinese-speaking tourists, such as healing trips in Gangwon's nature and K-Culture experiences.
GWTO's President stated that "We will do our best to raise awareness of Gangwon’s various charms and attract Chinese-speaking tourists, while continuing to expand international tourism marketing efforts."
