On March 21, Wonju Medical Industry Technovalley (WMIT) announced that it is supporting the global expansion of local companies at The 40th Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show held at COEX.

With the support of Gangwon State and Wonju-si, WMIT has set up a joint booth for Gangwon State, where 23 companies are participating, operating 59 booths, showcasing advanced medical devices and innovative technologies.

In particular, the "Digital Healthcare Special Exhibition" within the Gangwon joint booth focuses on displaying innovative technologies and products representing the Gangwon medical industry.

The special exhibition features products such as a body analysis machine by Team Elysium (CES 2025 Innovation Award winner), an emotional analysis kiosk by Emma Healthcare, a wearable ECG monitoring system by Mezoo, a diagnostic spirometer by Breathings, and a portable X-ray equipment by OTOM. It also highlights the latest trends in AI-based diagnostic technology and wearable medical devices.

KIMES is is the largest professional exhibition for medical devices and hospital equipment in the country for more than 40 years, with a history dating back to 1980. The 40th KIMES opened March 20 and run for four days until March 23.

WMIT has been operating a joint booth and participating in the KIMES exhibition since 2007.

An official from WMIT said, "The Gangwon joint booth will play an important role in raising awareness of Gangwon's medical device companies in both domestic and international markets, expanding business opportunities with overseas buyers." He added, "We will continue to actively support the growth of the Gangwon medical device industry in the global market."
