GWTO participated at the world's largest cruise exhibition, promoting Sokcho Port
On April 11, the Gangwon Tourism Organization (GWTO) participated in the 'Seatrade Cruise Global 2025' exhibition held in Miami, USA and carried out activities to attract cruises to Sokcho Port in Gangwon.
The event is the world's largest cruise exhibition, with over 600 exhibitors from more than 120 countries and around 11,000 participants including 2,700 industry officials every year.
At the exhibition, which kicked off on April 7, the GWTO confirmed the continuous cruise arrivals at Sokcho Port through a meeting with Holland America Line.
Holland America Line, after being invited on a familiarization tour in 2022, expressed great interest in Gangwon's natural scenery and tourism infrastructure, leading to the port becoming a cruise stop starting in 2023.
Additionally, the GWTO actively promoted Sokcho Port by participating in the 'Asia Destination' event hosted by the Asia Cruise Cooperation (ACC), alongside the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), a member of ACC.
