According to Yonhap News,

On May 22, Wonju-si and Gangwon State signed an investment agreement (MOU) with GBK Food and Pureture for occupancy in the Munmak Foreign Investment Zone at the Haetae Karubi Munmak Plant.

With this agreement, the Munmak Foreign Investment Zone has now achieved 100% occupancy.

The Munmak Foreign Investment Zone, the only such zone in the province, was developed with a total investment of KRW 25.1 billion in 2013 and spans 84,083 square meters in the Bangye-ri, Munmak-eup area.

The zone currently hosts four companies: Haetae Karubi (Japan), GTI Solutions Korea (Singapore), Korea Polyacetal (Japan), and Bereum (Japan).

With the additional contracts signed by Pureture (US) and GBK Food (US), a total of six companies have now completed their entry into the zone.

The total accumulated sales of the resident companies amount to approximately KRW 863.1 billion, with local tax payments reaching KRW 640 million in recent 3 years.

The zone has contributed significantly to the regional economy, generating annual production inducement effects of KRW 33.5 billion, value-added creation of KRW 16.6 billion, and employment inducement for 310 people.

When the latest two companies complete moving to the Zone , the economic impact on the region is expected to grow even further.

Additionally, the advanced technologies, business expertise, and global networks of these foreign-invested enterprises are expected to encourage technological innovation among local firms and help expand a global cooperation ecosystem.

Mayor of Wonju-si stated, “The 100% occupancy of the Munmak Foreign Investment Zone reflects recognition of Wonju’s global competitiveness. We will continue to create a business-friendly environment and make every effort to attract more foreign investment to strengthen global competitiveness.”
